A good morning to everyone as well!  I've been awake for twenty minutes and already found out that my 'Composed of Nows' Doctor Who fic has been nominated for the Children of Time Awards and that I won second place (along side an honorable mention) for a Twitter contest being held by bookviewcafe.com.  The prize for second place is an autographed Asimov's Science Fiction issue.

Djawadi looked shell-shocked for a second before he was able to school his features. “I had not realized I would be having the pleasure of meeting with one of the heads of Torchwood, even if it is the Cardiff branch.” The disdain for Cardiff was apparent in his voice.

“I wouldn't say that you're meeting with me. Way I see it, you're about ta leave so we can eat our lunch in peace.”

He blinked slowly. “You're quite rude, did you know that?”

Rose grinned. “Yeah, learned it from the best, actually. Now, d'you mind?” She made a shooing gesture but he didn't budge.

“Now, Miss...my apologizes, Director Tyler. I'll keep this brief. You have something in your possession that I wish to acquire..."

“No."

“I'd be willing to offer you a tidy sum...”

“No.”

Reaching up, Djawadi pinched the bridge of his nose and tried again. “And complete access to the artifact whenever you have need of it.”

“Really?”

“Yes, of course.”

“Let me think...oh, I know! No.”

It's from what's turning into a chaptered fic called Through the Looking Glass.  I'm not quite sure how I'm going to have Djawadi turn out but, boy, is he irritated now.  ...also, thank God for the back of the Blade Trinity movie box thing because I've gleaned two last names off it for this thing. *grins*
