Next to The General with Buster Keaton and Young Frankenstein, Duck Soup is one of my favorite movies of all time. Yes, I said it, Buster Keaton; you can blame my father who raised me on Keaton, the Marx Brothers and The Three Stooges, all of whom I adore.
And happily, Duck Soup is playing next week so we can DVR it. <3
Also, a surprisingly deep and awesome quote from Groucho Marx (followed by a much less deep but still awesomeone):
"I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it." (I'm rather loving this, actually, considering how stressful it's been lately.)
"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read."
