Good things

indiana_jI've had a pretty hard time focusing on the good things this week (my co-worker summed it up perfectly with "Have you ever been so tired you wanted to cry but you were too tired to cry?"), so some good things:
* Dinner with the department last night. We ended up going to the new (very new, just opened in October) place called the American Tap Room and it was great. It's not far from me by car at work and I've got to take some friends there.
* Holiday party tomorrow! This will include a hefty holiday bonus, woo! I don't know what I'm going to do with some of it but some I'm going to pamper myself - I think after these past few weeks, I certainly have earned it. Also, looking forward to lunch and the White Elephant Game. And getting to go home at 2 p.m.
* Christmas gala Saturday night - there's a very nice royal purple dress I'll be wearing and I'm looking forward to glamming out a bit.
* Brunch at the Kennedy Center with Marissa on Sunday morning and then we're going to go see the Nutcracker! I've never been either to the brunch or to see the Nutcracker, so I'm quite looking forward to this.
* I have Monday off and I'm doing nothing but sleeping and wandering around the house for the entire day.
* Dinner with Lauren next Friday!
Also, weird thing, I ordered a few things from B&N and the last three items came in today ... twice. Yep, I got The Big Theory Season 1 for myself, a Christmas present for someone and Modern Family season 1 for my dad and now I have two copies but without being charged for it. I'm trying to figure out what B&N is going to want me to do but the last time something like this happened they basically just told me to keep it.
Well, I'll probably keep the mysterious present for myself but I might give N at work The Big Bang Theory because she's a huge fan but I have no idea what I'm going to do with Modern Family. Ooh, maybe I can figure out if someone on my Christmas list of gifts to still buy is a fan!
