indiana_jMy dad discovered my wireless router from the apartment in the basement yesterday and, as of this morning, we now have wireless in the house! Of course, it's the same crappy internet that was in the computer room just ... shared throughout.
(HughesNet gives us 250MB of download allowance a day and that does include websurfing and what not. If we use it all up, that's it, we're done and the internet slows to even more of a crawl than we sometimes deal with. If you want to actually download something, you need to either be prepared to use it all up in one go, go to Starbucks / the library or wait until between 2 and 7 am when you get unlimited download capability. :P)
So, yeah, we've got more places where we can get on and more than one person can be online but we still have to be careful about how much we use per day. My time on the internet probably won't be going up much but it'll be nice to be able to just hope onto the laptop in the living room / kitchen (like now, as I'm cooking bacon!) or my room.
