(no subject)

I have managed to do in one day more than I feel like I've done in a week.  Up at 9 this morning and in the car by 10, I managed to hit the bank, Bed Bath & Beyond (I went in there for 2 things, I left with $50 worth of stuff *sigh*), CVS and the grocery store and was back here by 12:30.  Since 1, I've made bolognese sauce from scratch (ground up beef, ground up Italian sausage, veal and bacon = my apartment smells FANTASTIC) and hot cakes (oh. my. god) and I'm almost done cleaning the apartment.

The parents are set to get here between 5 and 5:30 and so I have that much time left to finish cleaning and to make myself presentable.

It's stupid but I feel amazing after accomplishing all of that.  Also, I took the cutest picture - ever - of myself in the midst of cooking (I was taking pictures of the various stages because I'm a dork; and I either always look like a trucker or like a street urchin depending upon the hat I'm using at the time to keep my hair out of the food.  Maybe one day I will steampunk myself out while I cook):

Very cute picture indeed. Good job on the weight loss, btw - as a note that might also be why you've been feeling a bit 'ugh'. A lot of wierd stuff is stored in fat and when you get rid of the fat, it's all released into your system making you feel a bit woogy. Anyway, good luck with dinner!

...huh, I never thought of that. The weight's been coming off so slowly (though I think you can see some difference in that picture) that I didn't even think of that.

And the dinner went FANTASTICALLY. My parents were soso impressed with my cooking skills and everything came out fantastic. There'll be pictures.
