I need to concentrate on something good, so I'm going to talk about New Years Eve.

Hands down, it was probably one of the best ones I've had in ages.  I got up there in great time on Wednesday (shaved an hour off, even!) and caught up with Mon for about an hour until Rossi came home.  Which then involved dinner and pub when Dex joined us.  It was a low-key, great start to the weekend, I think.  And we picked up Aisy the next morning, which was awesome - and we made the discovery that I had an X-Men board game with me, so there was some glee there.

Low-key and low-maintenance were the words of the weekend and I loved every minute of it.  Got to see a lot of the people that I've started to become friends with during NYE (even went over to John and Mindy's on Monday morning, with my PJs in my purse, to be taught how to make cheese soup and to watch the first disc of season four Buffy).

We also did a drive-by-turkeying for Andrea - which was amusing and awesome since we got to see her and the family.  (Soothing voices in the car for the win as the American attempted to not get everyone in the car killed due to the snow and ice!)

And really, one of the most awesome thing was the joint Christmas present (from Dex to Mon and myself) - food to die for.  He made us French Onion soup (ngh) and to die for chateaubriand (nggggggggh).  Just.  Seriously.  Seriously!  I can't get over that dinner.

Overall, I felt quite pampered and relaxed all weekend.  Feelings/memories I'm clinging to right now.
