I've pretty much gone through every box that I have in the basement and I'm tossing quite a bit.  (I still own quite a bit, but still.)  I've also packed up almost all of my DVDs and the first two shelves of books (*groans* 330 books owned, not including the TBR shelves, Jesus Christ, this is going to be a bitch.), totaling three boxes packed in the bedroom.

Just about 4 weeks until I want to be at least 95% packed; hoping the apartment can be opened a few days before the 8th.  If not, well, that's fine.  I'll probably be renting one of the 14 foot trucks from U-Haul the morning of the move (renting it before hand but just for the 8th), so there's that.

I'm also looking through the books to see any that I don't really want.  Putting them on paperbackswap to hopefully lighten the load.  If not, there's already a box on the floor for those books, so...

(Why do I have so much stuff?  Where did this stuff COME from?)

Stuff breeds. Even now, there are paperbacks interlacing their covers in some dark corner of your place.

Not the babies! You heartless monster! Those babies are going to grow up to strip their covers off out by bookstore dumpsters someday and it will be YOUR FAULT.

See, I'm just not so much a fan of shoe/book. Book/book is just that much more cerebral. :)

No way, blender/toaster is awesome. I've got nothing against mixed inanimate object pairings in general, it's just that shoe/book doesn't really get my motor running. I start wondering where the laces are supposed to go and it all just gets weird.

. . . huh. That's like what happens after the shoe and the book love each other very much.
