"Hello!" the Doctor said cheerfully, bouncing on the tips of his toes. "I'm here to see..."
The blonde behind the desk looked up at him, raised an eyebrow, popped her gum and then promptly ignored him. The Doctor blinked and gave into a mighty big sulk.
He was used to many things: running was up there, being chased by things with more teeth and eyes than brains, solving half a dozen impossible things before breakfast - being ignored, however, was not on that list.
When it was obvious that the secretary was going to keep ignoring him, he shrugged and just strolled past. She kept ignoring him even when he reached a door and entered without knocking on it.
The man behind the desk glanced up but he obviously wasn't surprised. "Two things," the Doctor said cheerfully. "I believe this is yours."
He held up a black leather jacket that looked almost like the one his former self had worn around. It was older, though, more well-worn and certainly wouldn't fit him.
"And second..." His smile dropped. "My friend Rose is missing. I think you might be able to help me get her back."
The man froze for a second and then stood, nodding. "I would have helped even without the return of the jacket," Angel sighed, shaking his head. "Seriously, Doctor, it's been how many years since I left that behind?"
