*pained*

I think I need more bookshelves.  I have one big one and one little one (and a bookshelf on my desk that I keep 'to be read' books) - and 301 books (I love librarything...).  And growing, I might add.  Seriously, I want a bookcase that's on the wall or something...

301 books and only 3 repeats.  And growing.  I have three new books in my purse now and a small list in my head since I'll probably pop by the bookstore tonight.

...I'm impressed with myself.  Should I be impressed with myself? XD

Then again, that's Avi's and my combined collections, plus children's books from my childhood and children's books from his childhood.

Nonetheless, we have a terrifying number of books. (And I think I missed some of the children's books.)

...good lord, that's a lot of books. I'm amazed you have room for people. *grins* Yeah, I'm mostly impressed with the fact that this is just my collection. Some bought, given as gifts...uh potentially lifted from libraries (but only one or two, honest!)...

No wonder my move was a pain in the butt last year...

Oh, such a potentially expensive addiction. And people wonder why I get excited over book gift cards.

The basement bedroom is mostly books and the closet is filled with comics. ::sigh:: And oh yes, it's an expensive addiction, but I try to do most of my buying at used bookstores, so at least I'm spending a buck or two on a paperback, rather than eight or nine!

I am a book hoarder. Seriously. Once or twice a year I force myself to get rid of a small bag of books that were either bad or that I'm never going to read. It takes me a long time to put those books in the bag, even if I didn't like them.

Four bookshelves...and I'm starting to not have room for all the books again. (meekly)The books are my friends? And I like to keep my friends close?

*grins* Books are your friends - especially when you have, say, nearly an hour metro commute one way. Nearly two hours on the train + one hour of lunch = lots of friends. ;)

The books get me. Everyone else thinks I'm a loser, but the books don't care. And they don't leave because they don't have legs. Except for the ones that people borrow and never return. RAR.
