indiana_j | Oh ow.

Today was my first visit to a new vet with my cat, Katz (yeah, I thought I was really clever when I was 16). She was due for her rabies shot and I feel better now having an actual vet I can take her to, one that I know, if something comes up. Getting her in the carrier wasn't as hard as I had feared - it didn't help that when I called my mom up for advice last night, she laughed at me - thanks to Ben helping to hide her around the corner as I got the carrier prepped.

And, as always, the folks at the vet fawned over her - she's not a biter and everyone always thinks she's gorgeous. Well, she is. :) And, as always, as soon as she got on the table, her head was buried in either my elbow or she attempted to shove her head in my sleeve. Aww. She got her rabies shot, she got weighed (she's at 9 lbs and 15, a little bit up!) and some bloodwork done. *wrinkles nose* All for, oh, only $250. OW. That's a car payment sized chunk of change. Luckily, they took checks and I hightailed it to the bank to move some money around.

She's worth it and I'll get the results back on Monday.

Still, ow. Having such a lowkey couple of weeks until next payday.
