My sister's best friend through elementary school and most of high school was from the Pepper family. Her dad has a Ph.D.

The woman I was talking to was amused by how cool I thought the name was. I think she was more used to teasing than enthusiasm. Then again, I inhaled the Sherlock Holmes stuff when I was a kid. ;)
