T.V. Shows
Nov. 17th, 2011 07:50 pmI've been watching a surprising (for me) amount of TV lately - hell, last year, I didn't even watch Bones. So, what I'm watching and what I think of it so far and, btw, spoilers behind the cuts:
Person of Interest - currently enjoying the hell out of it, especially with the last episode.
I hate to say it but I was getting kind of bored with some of the shows; it all felt very formulaic. Girl and guy become a team of some sort, there's romantic tension that's spread out over 10 seasons, things happen. That's very generic and I still love Bones and I totally know that there are other shows out there but I was just feeling a bit burnt out.
( Person of Interest )
From the opening, spoken by Finch:
You are being watched. The government has a secret system--a machine that spies on you every hour of every day. I know because...I built it. I designed the machine to detect acts of terror but it sees everything...violent crimes involving ordinary people; people like you, crimes the government considered irrelevant. They wouldn't act so I decided I would, but I needed a partner--someone with the skills to intervene. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You will never find us. But whether victim or perpetrator, if your number's up, we'll find you.
Body of Proof, something that's been running for 2 seasons but I only have caught the last two episodes. No spoilers for this one but it's pretty adorable and I found myself caring for the characters pretty quickly. Also, Cliff Curtis (yes, he was Fire Lord Ozai, just shut it) just joined the show and I forgot how cute he is.
Once Upon a Time
( Once Upon a Time )
Grimm
Okay, I have to say that it's slowly - god, slowly - growing on me. I still wish the series was either about Aunt Mary or Eddie. I'm going to give it another episode or two and if it hasn't hooked me, I'm going to drop it.
Bones
( Bones )
I have Hell on Wheels, the rest of The Walking Dead, Sherlock and Life on Mars to watch, too, so eventually my brain is just going to turn into a giant TV. I never watch this much stuff but I can't pretend I'm not enjoying it!
