Jul. 24th, 2011 09:23 pmSo Lauren came over today - we did a trip to Trader Joe's to pick up some water for her and then she got to see exactly the kind of crap I've been carting around for the last few years. We basically performed Clean House: Watkins Addition on my closet - two bags of stuff that was too junky to be donated and, uh, like six bags worth of things to donate.
I think my plan of attack on packing will be to do one section of the house at a time. This coming week, I'm going to pack up the books and everything in the closet. The following, the bedroom and linen closet. And the week of the move, the kitchen / dining room. Lauren's right, I've got PLENTY of time before I have to start freaking out - I just need to be pretty proactive about it.
Also, tired of eating out, I threw together a light lunch for the two of us and it turned out great. Zucchini "Tagliattle" salad with Mint, Cucumber and Lemon and Slow-Roasted fish that had a panko crust with lemon, butter, parsley and thyme. The neat thing about the salad is that you slice the zucchini very thin to the point that it looks like thick pasta. It's a neat trick and the salad is my new favorite summer food.
