Day 06 - Your day (done again since LJ just ate it, sigh)

Since I went to bed at a reasonable hour last night - 10:15! - I was able to get up at 7:25 without me reaching over at like 5 a.m. to reset the clock to 7:50.  With everyone still being at conference, I actually decided to wear an actual t-shirt (I try to avoid them even though it's casual at work - there's casual and then there are t-shirts).  There's like 14 of us in the office and we're all scattered, who's going to care?

No one!

Remembering that I had milk at the office and that there was left over pizza from yesterday's lunch, courtesy of work, I only grabbed my Special K cereal and a Jell-O Sensations cup, snack, when I left the house.  After, of course, playing "Fetch but not really" with Marion - I'll throw something, she'll chase and savage it and then she'll run back to me without it.

I managed to escape without her ending up in the hallway.

Work was work, if slower paced than normal.  Busier than the last few days, though, as I decided not to hop onto Facebook and actually concentrate.  ;)  That's the plus and minus of conference, your concentration is shot because no one's there.  Lots of calls and emails, working on various projects and catching up on the checks.

On my way home, I saw that a guy that had been weaving in and out of traffic - cutting me off - had rear ended someone who had been waiting to make a left turn.  Plus side, though, is that the woman he rear ended was in an SUV and while she only had, from a quick look, a dent in her bumper his front end was buckled.  Well, pay attention next time though I do feel horrible for the woman.  Despite my nerves insisting someone was going to rear end me next, I managed to make it home without so much as a scratch on my car.

Tonight has been spent mostly doing OT and preparing the first dish for Marissa's party, the sorbet terrine.  The flavors are, from bottom to top, raspberry, lemon, vanilla ice cream and blackberry.  I really want vanilla ice cream but it's all in the dish now. D:

I was going to watch Ladron Que Roba a Ladron tonight but Netflix seems to be acting up so I'm going to watch the Discovery Channel and try to call my folks again.
