Oct. 1st, 2012 07:31 amIt is 83 degrees in this office and I just kind of want to crawl into the fridge. I get that it's getting chilly outside (but, seriously, it's going to be 81 tomorrow and then high 70's the rest of the week; that is not cold) but 83 degrees inside the office is uncalled for.
*sigh* Good thing I layered because the first thing I did when I got in was ditch the light sweater (see, Lauren, my anti-layering stance is kind of going away!) and pop on the desk fan to high. I can only hope the temperature drops or else I'm going to be one hell of a cranky person today.
...even more so, I suppose, than lately.

There is something odd yet fun about having dinner with people who have known you since you were 5 years old. They seem both delighted and disgruntled that I drink (disgruntled only because it made them feel old), had far too many embarrassing stories about me and got to make me feel old when I found out that their son is now 25. I knew him when he was 1.
The weekend was really hard but we got through it together and by doing things like going to see old friends or going out to lunch on Sunday (we had 4 hours to kill when we took Sadie to get all unstinky; geez, that took forever).
