I'm not quite sure why I was dumb enough to decide to watch the 2004 version of Dawn of the Dead last night.  I mean, what's better for someone who's super stressed and on edge than to watch a horror movie that scares the living daylights right out of her?  It's really good but, geez, maybe I should have just recorded it and then watched it when I'm not so easily startled.

Case in point - while I was watching the movie, Marion jumped on my lap, which prompted me to scream bloody murder and jump to my feet.  This caused Marion to sink her little claws into my legs in a vain effort to hold on. D:

Lots of fun zombie dreams last night though I wonder if it's sad and / or telling that I no longer consider those nightmares?

The trip to Vancouver's starting to shape you.  Two of my co-workers, N who is my lunch / reading buddy and M who works in my sister department, found out during a work event last night that I was staying until Sunday and are now considering to stay later, too. :D  If I was going to have to hang out with anyone after work, these two would be it, so I'm pretty excited about that.

Not that I don't think I'd be a Grand Adventurer on my own but it's nice to potentially have partners in crime, you know?

Hi guys!  I'm looking at putting down a substantial amount of money for a new laptop in the next few weeks / months (literally, all of my OT these past few paychecks is going into this fund, on top of already saved money and upcoming tax refunds - there'll be extra money, too, after I'm done shopping for this).  I want to be able to eventually play things like SWTOR and Diablo III on it when I move in the fall to a place that doesn't have crappy internet and, with the money I'm willing to spend, I want to make sure it's a damned good machine.

So, any reviews to laptops or personal recommendations would be very helpful.  Things I should be aware of and on the look out for, etc.  I'm arming myself with Consumer Report guides and my dad but extra help would be nice.

(And while I'm astounded by the fact that I could, for once, afford a Mac, I think I'll be sticking to a PC for ease of what I use it for.  Still.  I could if I wanted to and that's awesome.)
