Stupid monkey.
Apr. 19th, 2008 01:13 pmI nailed the reason behind the mood decline last night - I've been really horrible this week in terms of food. Most days were one meal, maybe two, and the combination of that and the stress of the meetings from hell...paranoia should not be listened to when one has just survived 14 hours of meetings while the body is unhappy of lack of food.
A trip to the grocery store has put me back on track for cooking this week and this week will be a good test. With two roommates celebrating Passover and one still on business during the week, when I cook this week it will be for me. Which is really a huge stumbling block for me at times. I prefer to cook for others but sometimes I don't have that luxury.
I managed to grab, for excellent prices, three meats - ground up lamb (for $2.50), kielbasa (6 links for .99 cents!), and a boneless duck breast (individual serving meat packets are awesome, a little pricey at $5, but considering the savings on the other two, I indulged). I have no idea what I'm going to do with either of them but I also picked up some Thai yellow curry sauce which I might do with the duck.
This weekend shall be a spring cleaning and putting winter things away one, I think. And I have plans to buy a grill next paycheck and we're talking about patio furniture. It's hitting like 85 degrees today, we need to take advantage of the HUGE backyard we have.
