I really had meant to get online last night but I came home after a pretty long and frustrating day at work and wound up climbing into bed around 8.  Nothing says feel better than Monty Python, kettle corn popcorn and comfy nightclothes.  I've been trying to get up between 7 and 7:30 the last few days, to give me more time in the morning to eat breakfast at home instead of work.

It's taking some getting used to. XD  It's not that I'm not a morning person--I'm not grouchy and I wake up fairly quickly--but my problem is if I wake up only a little bit, there's a very large chance of me immediately going back to sleep.  It's too easy to keep sleeping, which is why even on the weekends my alarm is set.  (I dislike sleeping in too much on the weekends, makes me feel as if I've lost a good portion of my day.)

The other problem I've got is if I get up at all--bathroom, phone--I'm not going to be able to get back to sleep.  Once I'm up, I'm up.  So I have to be certain that time is when I want to get out of bed.

And now, to wait for the windshield repair folks.  I'm hoping it's just easily fixable and doesn't require me shelling out $250.  Free for the win.  They could show up now or three hours for now.  *wry*  I think it's time for some breakfast and if they haven't called by then, I'm going to do some cleaning so I don't have to focus on all of it this weekend.

And I need to figure out what to cook for dinner tonight.  I've got ground beef thawed (thank god, I was tiring of the pasta I had made but I ate the last of it last night) but no idea.  Hrm.

...okay, scratch what I said about the windshield guys.  They'll be here in about fifteen minutes.  *grins*  Which means slightly late to work but not missing W.'s going away lunch like I'd been afraid I would.

Socks, shoes, breakfast!

Edit

Bad news:  The entire windshield has to be replaced.  Booo.

Good news:  They can still come out and do it in my parking lot, next Wednesday (which is when I get paid, huzzah).  In the end, $250 is a chunk out of my money but it's not nearly as bad as paying for the full thing (that's just my deductible).  I'm getting better with saving money and right now I've got about $350 in my account and $250 in savings.  If I don't do anything with the money until next week, I'll be more than okay and I won't even have to touch my savings account.

So, off to the bank, then to get gas and then to work.  (Since they knew I was going to be late anyway, I'm not going to kill myself rushing when I'll just work until 7 tonight anyway to avoid traffic.)
