iPod question

A few days ago, I noticed a small black line on the screen of my iPod.  It wasn't big so I ignored it - now, though, it runs from one side to the other and seems to be collecting friends.  Anyone know if that's fixable?

Seconding the Apple Care Kit - although given recent price drops, upgrading your iPod might not be a bad idea. iPods are still hands-down THE best portable digital music player on the market when it comes to support.

Also take advantage of in-store warranties if you still have them. I got my 1st gen iPod Shuffle replaced twice by Best Buy in the first year, once when it got fried due to a power surge and once when someone who shall not be named but sounds a lot like "Zernadette" put it through the washing machine...

I've got a great program called Roxio Studio 9, if you want, burn all your music onto a data disc, bring it with you when you come visit next month, and my program can convert all itunes songs into mp3s. Itunes has it in m4p format. That's what I do with my songs. Now are you have problems listening or just seeing the screen? Cause if you can still use it, you could always ask for a new one for Christmas. That way you don't have to pay for it :) You can get the ipod nano the one mom and I have, I've got an 8 GB, I believe there's also a 16GB too.
