Curious...

Does anyone hate book jackets with as much hatred as I do?  I haaate them and most, if not all, book jackets get tossed the moment I get the book.  The damned things shift and fall off whenever I read the books in question so I end up getting frustrated and tossing them.

But then I find that the book underneath the cover is awesome - like my Joy of Cooking.  White cover and gold letting on the front and side.  Much nicer looking than if it had the book jacket.

Depends on the illustration, I find.

I hate 'em. Especially on children's books. Grrrr.

HATE them. Dust covers are ridiculous and useless and unnecessary. The art might be pretty, but they get damaged and ugly SO quickly...

I like 'em. I take them off when I'm reading the book and put on a fabric cover instead.

I take them off and then try to remember to put them back on later.
