I'm a fan of all the degrees of sci-fi as well as all the degrees of fantasy but I cut my teeth reading on the old pulp sci-fi magazines. I think the weirdest one I ever read was about an expedition that ends up getting eaten and their brains then fight it out to be the dominant one in the newly formed 'creature' that results.
