ME: *confused, strange look crosses my face*

ME: *is just now realizing I'm firmly holding a wet, sopping kitty*
ABBY: *is just now realizing she's a wet, sopping kitty* . . . *turns into a struggling armful of wet, sopping kitty*
ME: Oh, dear.*
ABBY: MEW.
So, yeah, the basement flooded.
(Obviously, this was said in much more colorful terms. MUCH MORE. However, in hindsight I like the sound of 'oh dear'.)
