Hi. Again. I saw where you had responded to another comment, saying that the second chapter was up, so I came over here.

I had expected Jack to take the bullet, leading to Rose discovering his immortality, assuming that it still works in this dimension, without having to go through an awkward period of Jack being a noble dumbass and attempting to hide his immortality from Rose.

Now, I'm wondering if Rose is also immortal, which is why she took the bullet. If so, I see you hinted at it previously by mentioning that Rose had been shot before--but I had guessed those were just not critical wounds. Although, if that's the case, I'm also now wondering how you are going to explain why the Doctor wasn't bothered by or didn't detected Rose's immortality, like he did with Jack.
