Did you try unplugging every chord and replugging them in? Make sure that Katz hasn't done anything to the chord either, sometimes the little stinkers like chewing on things :) Not to mention Mom just got that monitor for you about a year ago, it should be fine. Double and triple check just to be sure, you never know!
